How we handle your information
Plain answers on what we collect through this website and the client portal, why, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who we are
CIDO Construction Ltd. ("CIDO", "we") is a design-and-build construction company in Lagos, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at info@cidoconstructions.com or on +234 810 262 8992.
What we collect
- Project requests. When you use the form on our contact page: your name, phone number, email, country, how you prefer to be contacted, and the project details you choose to share (site location, land documents, budget, start date and description).
- Client portal. For clients with a portal login: your email address and password (stored only in encrypted form by our portal provider), your project's records, the decisions you make and the messages you send.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Visits. Anonymous, cookie-free statistics such as pages viewed, country and device type. These do not identify you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal, at your request.
- To carry out our contract with you, including reporting progress, payments and test results through the client portal.
- To meet legal duties, for example tax and building-approval records.
- To understand which pages are useful, so we can improve the website.
We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We use trusted service providers who process data for us under contract: our website host (Netlify), our client-portal database and file storage (Supabase), our email provider, and a privacy-friendly analytics service (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Some of these providers store data outside Nigeria, including in the European Union and the United States; we rely on their contractual safeguards for those transfers. When you choose interiors or maintenance, we share the project details those services need with our partner companies, TwinOlives Ltd and Klinhouse.
Cookies and storage
The public website sets no tracking cookies. When you sign in to the client portal, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay logged in; signing out removes it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Project records, including portal content, are kept for the length of the project, the defects and warranty periods, and as long as the law requires after that.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email info@cidoconstructions.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
Keeping it safe
Our website and portal use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each client can see only their own project, and only named CIDO staff can update portals. We will never ask for your password by phone, email or WhatsApp, and we will never ask you to pay into a personal account.
